In addition, I was a teaching assistant for several courses at Penn State University.

My education consists of a Masters in Special Education and Instructional Systems and includes my PA certification levels I and II. In addition, I have certification from PDE as an Instructional Technology Specialist K-12. Also, I have my Assistive Technology Certificate of Learning from California State University. I am currently working on my Ph.D. and will defend my dissertation in Learning, Design, and Technology in the beginning of March.

My expertise is in assistive technology, specifically in augmented and alternative communication. I have experience consulting, evaluating, and training students, parents, teachers, and other professionals regarding AT and AAC devices. My work at Clairview School has afforded me opportunities to work with students with varying disabilities such as, Autism, deaf and hard of hearing, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, multiple disabilities, blind or low vision, speech and language disorders, emotional and behavioral disorders, and intellectual disabilities. As a technology teacher at Clairview, I integrated technology into reading, math, science, and transition classes.
