St. Patrick's Day Activities

Hi All,

I wanted to post some St. Patrick's Day activities for you to use in your classroom. Some of my favorites are below, but if you are feelin' lucky you can find some more here.

• Lucky clovers - Find all 10 four leaf lucky clovers as quickly as possible.
• Row Swapping Puzzle: Solve the puzzle by swapping the rows and the columns of the scrambled picture.
• Spot the Differences Game: Find seven differences between the two pictures before time runs out.
• St. Patrick Day Bears Dress-up Game: Help the little bears get ready for the St. Patrick's Day Celebration. Use your mouse to dress the bears. 

12 Days of christmas - perfect presents!

Here are some fun perfectly pleasant present games to play on your own computer or on an interactive whiteboard:

Letter to Santa Tell Santa what presents you would like. 

Present sorting Choose to sort the presents in different ways as they come off the conveyor belt. You can sort my size, color, or shape! Best of luck!

Stack the sleigh Help Santa stack the the presents into size order before delivering them down the correct chimneys. Start with the longest present.

Stop the Grinch From Stealing Mouse clicking game to save Christmas! There are 13 gifts under the tree and the Grinch wants them all! Save Christmas by clicking on Grinch before he grabs the presents. You have to move fast - he's quick!

13 days of christmas - elf!

Here are some excellent games and interactive pieces all about Santa's little helpers!

Northpole elf pal - The Elf Pal Academy offers activities that can easily be incorporated into lesson plans or a home schooling agenda. The activities combine learning with colorful artwork that will entertain children for hours.

kids songs - Listen to a song about Santa and the busy elf. There is a game you can play while the song is loading.Santa swing - dancing Santa! Make yourself Santa or santa's helper then bust a move!

15 days of Christmas - frosty the snowman!

Frosty the snowman...here are some fun games with a fun Frosty theme! If it is too cold outsie, have a good time playing inside with these super fun snowman games!


Dress up these funny snowmen - match the items on the two snowmen.

Build a Snowman - click and drag the items to build and dress the snowman

Make a snowman - Create a fun snowman by adding in buttons, scarves, hats, mittens, and a face!

Snowman Drag the pieces to build a snowman in this fun kindergarten and preschool game.

16 days of christmas - reindeer games

You know Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, and Vixen, Comet, and Cupid, Donner and Blitzen but do you recall...the most famous reindeer of all???

...It's that time of year, time for the reindeer games to begin! Check out these fun games all starring Rudolph and his friends! 

• Tootin' Reindeer - Cause and effect - click on the reindeer and hear them...toot
• Reindeer orchestra - Click on the reindeer to play a song.
• Santa's Gift Sling:  Have Santa use the sling on the reindeer to shoot the Christmas gifts into the chimney.

Letter to Santa benefits Make a Wish

I just wanted to share a link with you so you can create an interactive letter to Santa on your smartboard or computer, you can decorate, draw, and print your letter. Once your letter is printed put in the mailbox at Macy's. For every letter written to Santa, $1 will be donated to Make a wish!  Here is the site to write your interactive letter to Santa http://social.macys.com/believe/#/createyourletter Also on the site there is an activity book that can printed and shared with your students.

Here is an added bonus - if your class is going to the Macy's store to drop off the letters be sure to download the Belive app - its a new augmented reality app that has your kids pose with a picture with one of characters from Yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus.

I did this two years ago with my push in classes and we mailed about 75 letters to Santa - it is a great way to get yourschool involved in a big project that so many of our kids can benefit from.

Happy and Haunting Halloween activities

     Looking for some happy and haunting halloween activities to do with your students?  

     One of my favorite activities to do with my students was  jibjab. Jibjab has great halloween videos that your students can star in! I used this Math, I had student count money to watch the movie. They had to count out money to get their picture taken, to get their picture in the video, to buy a ticket to watch the video, popcorn, juice. Students really enjoyed watching themselves do silly dances, but they really enjoyed putting their teachers or principal in the video.

Halloween card maker - Choose the hallloween theme and make a great card to print and share. Great activity to do with switches.

Pumpkin puzzle - Interactive pumpkin puzzle

Cyberhaunt’s Virtual Pumpkin Carving Use a cute pumpkin pattern and carve your pumpkin's face. 

Pick a Pumpkin to Carve Carve a pumpkin with a click and drag type feature.
